In iphone notifications , there used to be an option for showing missed calls on the locked screen .

That is not there now , has it been moved ?

Assuming iOS 13.5.1

Toggle the options you show off and on again.

Then go to settings: phone: Announce Calls > Always

settings: phone: Silence Unknown Callers > off

Report if that solves the problem.

But try restarting the Phone before deciding you have failed.

I may have worded this wrong , okay I can see missed calls on my locked screen , but the image doesn't stay on there when I miss a call or message and the phone goes into sleep mode . There is no indication.

On my wifes samsung phone , there is a flashing light to let her know if there are missed calls or messages when her phone goes into sleep mode .

On the iphone , nothing until you pick the phone up to unlock it.

Did you try the steps above?

If not then try and report.

Further there is no flashing light notice on iPhones after missing the call.

Also the iPhones turn the screen off in sleep mode so the notifications are still there but until you activate the screen they are invisible.
