The Ang Sila fish market and its port in Chon Buri province will be ready to reopen in August, after the port and market had been closed for repairs and improvement to make it the central fish market of the country.

Fish Marketing Organisation director Montien Innoi said that in addition to becoming Thailand's premier fish market, the improved market was also being developed as a new landmark of the province with a tourism appeal for the sale of fresh products. The products in this fish market will cover fresh ingredients to cooked food.

Montien informed that some parts of the market would reopen in August, while the rest would be ready by December.

He advised the traders of fish and other aquatic animals to greet both foreign and domestic tourists who visit Chon Buri.
