rooster59 Posted July 4, 2020 Share Posted July 4, 2020 Adequate boarding and lodging providers for discounted tourism scheme: TAT By THE NATION Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has assured that accommodation providers and restaurants participating in the tourism discount scheme "Rao Pai Tiew Gun" (Let’s travel together) will be enough to cater to people participating from across the country. TAT governor Yuthasak Supasorn said that people participating in the scheme will receive a confirmation SMS after registration. Registration opens on July 15. The earliest day to exercise their right under scheme will be July 22, he added. The long holiday period fromJuly 25 to 28 is also expected to encourage many people to travel. Fiscal Policy Office director-general Lavaron Sangsnit said on Friday (July 3) that over 1,000 entrepreneurs offering accommodation and restaurants had registered for the scheme. He also said the shops that had participated in the "Eat, Shop, Spend" scheme could also participate. Commerce Ministry officials will be sent to advise them about the registration process, he added.
