Parent of a Thai child visa due renewal

Featured Replies

Bit out of touch with what has been going on so please forgive me if I am repeating but I have a 12 month parent visa for a Thai child, due to expire 20th next month. What is the state of the nation at the moment? Are the immigration offices even open at the moment? I did see their were automatic extensions or amnesties but I assume this applies to tourist visas.

Does anyone know what is the earliest I can go and apply for my new visa. I seem to remember 6 weeks before expiry

Any advice greatly appreciated

I assume you have a one year extension of stay based upon being the parent of a Thai not a visa. A non-o visa would require you to leave every 90 days.

You can up to 30 days early at most office and 45 days at others.

Yes sorry Joe. One year extension of O/A visa. I assume still no need for medical certificate?

I assume immigration offices open for business as normal?
