I entered Thailand in 2005 on a 1 year, non-immigrant visa. It expired and I entered again on 20 November 2006 on the visa waiver (free 30 day entry). I overstayed 2 days and did a border run on 21 Dec. I did another border run on 19 Jan 2007. I left Thailand on 2 Feb.

I'm planning to return on 30 April and plan to stay until the 21st June at the latest (less than 2 months).

So I was in the country on the visa waiver program for a total of 77 days since 1 October, and when I arrive on 30 April it will be 87 days since I left.

Will I be able to enter on the visa waiver program again? Will I be ok to do one visa run after 30 days?

Cheers - Callum.

You might get issued the remainder of your days (90 - 77 = 13) if you calculated correctly..

You might also run into issues with 6 month blocks and partial stamps even if that wasnt the case..

Almost definately you need a tourist visa to make things worry free..

If you fall on an officer who calculates in fixed blocks :

Your block would be 20 Nov to 19 May

If you come back on 30 April, you should only receive 13 days (if your calculation of 77 days is correct)

You can then for 1.900 baht ask for an extension of 7 days

After which you will need to go out of the country and come back after 20 May the start of your second fixed block.

I would go for a TV to make things easy and predictable

Thanks Jack, I'll look into a Tourist Visa. It will cost me the same as a visa run anyway, so I guess there's nothing to lose. Cheers - Callum.
