It has been revealed that one of two minivan drivers who drove a group of thirty one Egyptian soldiers from U-Tapao airport to a Rayong hotel lives in the Huay Yai area of Pattaya.

One of the soldiers subsequently tested positive for coronavirus prompting a national reaction to the news.

Locals in Huay Yai were freaked out on hearing the news, reported Sanook.

Huay Yai mayor Phairat Traisuphachoke sought to allay the fears. He said that his staff were quick to react and contacted the driver.

An initial assessment indicated he did not have the virus. His house was sprayed and he was ordered to quarantine at home for 14 days.

His health would continue to be monitored during this period.

The driver spent around thirty minutes in the van with the soldiers but he was always wearing a mask, said Mayor Phairat.

The driver spent 30 minutes with a carrier but not to worry.  Who did the driver spend the next hour or so with?
