US Embassy Affidavit Marriage Cert

Featured Replies

It looks like one of the first steps to getting a Kor Ror 22 from a USA Marriage cert is to get an Affidavit at the US Embassy wrt the Marriage Cert.

What do I write in the form after "... and says:"?

Thanks for the help!

(The next steps are to get it translated and legalized at MFA. Then go to local Amphur to register the marriage to get the Kor Ror 22)

You just do a statement that it is true, correct and valid with details about where and when it was issued.

You might want to check with the Amphoe to find out if they want a copy of you need a certified copy of your passport so you can do it in the same trip to the embassy and then have it translated.

Yes 3 out of 3 Amphoes I called ask for certified passport and 2 witnesses for registering the marriage certificate!

How do you get those witnesses?

Have them go with you to the Amphoe or try to get 2 people waiting there to be the witnesses.
