JacksSmirkingRevenge
So they don't say amnesty, but that's what it really is. It's a continuation of what we have now, but now it'll be called grace period. So I know I can stay until September 26. However, around that time cab I extend my visa if I have never extended it before? I arrived on visa exempt and never extended it.
Maestro
We have to wait for an official announcement to be made made to see what it says. At the moment, we only know that immigration is working on a proposal for submission to the cabinet for their consideration.
FritsSikkink
You don't have a visa, you were allowed to stay for 30 days.

hotchilli
If you're on amnesty you don't have a visa, just a free extension period... you have to sort it out before Sept 26th or you will be illegal, unless they change the date.

They won't change the date again imo. That's why they say that people have to leave before September 26 and the rest have to apply for an extension if they can and decisions will be made on case to case basis. That's not the case until July 31.

Anyone on amnesty, needing an extension of stay or renewing visa's need to do it before that date. With no domestic infections for 50+ days it's now safe to see all foreigners at the immigration offices.

They said the grace period ends on sept 26 And that you have to visit an immigration office before then. If you haven't fixed it by then you will be considered on overstay and can be blacklisted 8s what they have said but they will approve at least 30 days extensions if visit immigration so if you visit immigration by then you can get another 30 days. Unless it changes again which is possibke depending on what happens with the entire covid situation
