I see a bunch of Thai guys playing snooker and they exchange pieces of paper through out the game. 

 

Can any body explain the exchange of pieces of paper? 

 

I understand gambling is illegal in Thailand. But this game is clearly just an exchange of pieces of paper. 

They are exchanging phone numbers...????

Yes I'm aware that they are doing some form of that but I'm not sure how it works. It's clearly something to do with potting balls and fouling. But I can't see any consistency. 

I probably wasn't very clear in my main post, the pieces of paper are in fact money.
