Netflix's Baby-Sitters Club series has made groundbreaking changes from the book

For fans of The Baby-Sitters Club book series from the '80s and '90s, Netflix's adaptation of Ann M Martin's beloved novels has surpassed expectations by providing messages of diversity and inclusion for a new generation of young people.

 

While many viewers of the series are probably too young to have read the books when they first came out, Netflix has earned the approval of those adults who adored the novels when they were growing up.

 

The Baby-Sitters Club followed a group of girls living in the town of Stoneybrook, Connecticut as they ran a successful babysitting service.

 

Each book, like each episode in the TV series, followed the gang on a new adventure.
