That's normal driving by trucks in third-world and developing countries.  Happens all of the time her in Thailand. When a vehicle T-bones a truck doing a U-Turn, it might get a article in social media and I doubt it's even illegal here.  In the US, I think using U-Turn lanes on highways is pretty much universally illegal.

Any professional Commercial  driver knows that you don't pull a uturn on the Freeway.

I remember when I got my CDL in Massachusetts back in the early 90's,just when it was introduced, it demanded security  precautions . The Haz/ Mat endorsement, needed a FBI background check.

The trailer portion takes a long time to maneuver the turn because of the length,similar to a jackknife position.

The trailers arse end was halfway into the freeway portion. Did you see the facial expression

of the driver when the SUV crashed under his trailer,nothing,zilch.

U turns on interstate freeways are illegal throughout the US, also on any state highway with solid yellow lines. Any legal law abiding citizen with a common driver license would know this and is uniformly expected by other drivers in the US. The driver of that vehicle never would have expected such of an insane maneuver on a freeway.

I never saw it once during my years in the Florida Panhandle aka LA.  Not Los Angeles, Lower Alabama .  Nor during my drives through the south.

 

Does your videos indicate how many of the drivers were illegal or wrongfully obtained their trucker’s license?

 One of my Professions before becoming a Jeweler was driving for Consolidated Freight, Roadway, Yellow and DHL. They all came under the Teamsters Contract. We would never dare 

abuse the road signs .Professional Drivers  we were, not like many Lot Lizard Gypsy outfits,they/them is referring too.

Who many of which  constantly abused the rules.
