lamyai3
Not sure if this should be here or in the visa forum, but anyway a couple of questions regarding Bangkok Bank. 1) What is the best fixed deposit account that will be acceptable to Chaengwattana immigration for keeping the 800k required for a retirement extension? When I popped in they mentioned a 7 month FD at 0.625% which is lower than I'd hoped for, but it seems to be the highest that's available right now. Presumably this account allows access to the money and therefore would be good with immigration. 2) I don't have an account with Bangkok Bank yet, so I'll need an embassy letter of residence. Would they accept an immigration letter of residence instead (their template asks for the embassy seal)? 3) Can I use the one letter of residence to open two separate accounts with Bangkok Bank at the same time (savings account and fixed deposit)?
