Fair play to them, it would be hard to make up a better description of the corrupt government running the country !

  • It is a start which could grow into something that can cause change. Change does not happen overnight and I doubt they will stop at soft toys. If enough people get involved, instead of just saying the

You make me look like I'm a dummy.

You don't need my help for that.

Ha ha ha!

Started off with a micro-sleep that became something more permanent.

He should have pulled over for a drink of water, or an energy drink.

Perhaps a can of Red Bull - or maybe not - he could have then driven his wheel into someone, thus requiring him to flee the wheel PDQ.

Yeah, thanks to the yellows Thailand has a feckless, military government.  Strikes and much bigger protests are the only way to get rid of current usurpers.

I hope more join them - older Thais who are fed up with a Junta government that cannot govern with intelligence or integrity, that it becomes a  wider expression of all Thai people.

Not sure if on topic.  Anyone remember hammy the hamster , Tales of the river bank , Johny Morris ?

I am sure the cartoon character will help to enlarge the crowd enormously. Add some free food, drinks and music and they will be invincible.

Running out of things to report on...

Uncle and Pom's pouches are never full suggest some ninja hamsters  ????

To anyone thinking that socialism is a good idea, you end up with a conceited and pompous government who are power crazy and will do anything to cling on to power. Socialism is easy to incept, not so easy to abolish.

Socialism exits in so many 'democratic' countries but sheeple believe because they are told they live in a democracy, they automatically believe it. The UK is now a great example of this.

Saddest part is that likely nobody in that group of protesters is paying any tax...

They all pay 7%  VAT

Even the Dummy holding the Dummy has been gagged.

Erm students dont pay tax as students? Once they start working hopefully in the field they are studying for, they will eventually pay tax
Those there that arent students, may be there because their taxes are not being spent in the areas the taxpayer wishes.

Probably rarely. In department stores yes, outside very rarely. Yet to see an MBK/Platium Mall/Palladium/street seller charging VAT.

Tell that to the Yellows with their hand-clappers, whistles and other paraphenalia.

Worked for them.

I don’t think it was the clappers that helped so much as support (tacit or otherwise) from the oligarchs and the military.

Next they could use the cookie monster.

I am not sure armchair critics should be mocking harmless ridicule and call for more robust action. Remember what happened when people protested during Gen. Suchinda's "reign"  in a way you might think was more like a real protest. Don't hope for that.

What a sad comment.

The silly part is that the junta government is still in charge, even not elected by the population and they have kept none of the promises.

Time to wake up and act. This movement has my full support.

Well if they have been looking for incompetence and buffoonery to mock then they have hit the mother load.  If they have set their goal as being a new PM they are missing the big picture.  The Elites will just replace with another of their own and things will carry on as usual.  A more profound change is needed.

Everybody in this country pays tax.  It’s called VAT.  The benefit received by citizens is well below the 7% paid.

Agree, support them 100%

I would have been there, but Freddie Starr ate my hamster...

was he drinking red bull?

Drink it? I thought it was for cleaning brass.

I see trouble ahead. The government will hit back with 'Hello Kitty' and stuffing will flow in the gutters........

good people, I am with them against taxes

I remember it, but didn't remember it was narrated by Johnny Morris.

A quick wiki check confirmed it, and was a Canadian produced series.

If the government choose to use force againts these students, I feel sure the government will feel the force of the rest of the world againts them.

If the conscripts that are being forced into the military sided with the protesters and turned to their gun on the generals something might change

Taxes are a lot higher in so called “democracies.”

So are wages and welfare payments. They also pay for better quality services such as police and health.

Avoid Stadiums

I hope that the government will not make the mistake to use force in oppressing this movement . ( hamsters against guns ... )

The government would just issue a statement after the fact stating they believed that Thailand had a rat problem that had to be dealt with to preserve the security and happiness of the nation.
