BANGKOK, July 29 (TNA) – The Royal Thai Army puts on hold participation of Thai soldiers in overseas military trainings, Gen. Nattapon Srisawat, the Director of Thai Army’s anti-Covid-19 unit said after several soldiers, who returned from a military exercise in Hawaii were found infected with Covid-19.

Out of all 151 soldiers, nine soldiers tested postive to coronavirus after they took part in the joint exercise with the US force, codenamed Lightning Forge 2020 and returned to Thailand on July 22.

The army suspended all military exercises during the Covid-19 pandemic except for necessary training events.

You were told NOT to send them by all on TVF, but did ya listen?  Did ya hell!

Maybe, you will listen to us here on the font of all knowledge, the next time we speak up. Lesson learned. ????

I look forward to seeing bars and restaurants, etc. with signs stating they can’t serve soldiers due to the quickly evolving covid19 situation.

After all it’s safety first.

Send all the generals overseas, preferably somewhere close to the southpole.

I hear there is a good training facility to improve their fighting skills and tactics which in their case is usually for the prime position in the trough.

Finally a sensible decision. So there is one so far this year. I wonder how many will we get before the end of the year? I hope more than the fingers on one hand.

This Thai probably got covid in Thailand either during transport or at the quarantine itself

Same as so many others...suddenly test positive in quarantine...Yet have clear test before takeoff to Thailand

Buy a vowel Thailand as you need a clue

Look at Hawaii....Total cases from start of covid less than 1900

Thailand total cases 3300

Truth is Hawaii should not be letting Thai's visit

Was that excercise just Thai and US army?  I wonder if soldiers from some other nation might have mixed with the Thai's.  Was the virus lingering on the airplane that brought the soldiers home?

Hawaii (and all states) do not include military infections; that data is tracked in aggregate. US Military reports 35,000 cases with about 1,000 new cases yesterday. They seem to have a problem in Hawaii, as the civilian areas around Schofield and Pearl Harbor both have relatively high infection rates.
