Airports of Thailand (AOT), which is one of Thai Airways International (THAI)’s creditors, is ready to give the green light to the carrier's rehabilitation plan, said AOT president Nitinai Sirismatthakarn.

The central bankruptcy court will begin hearing THAI’s restructuring case on August 17.

The state agency has set up three panels to study the possible impact of the carrier's decision to enter debt restructuring under the court's supervision.

The AOT panels will focus on THAI’s business plan and routes, debt, and impacts on AOT-related businesses. THAI operates four businesses in AOT airports – kitchens, ground service, aviation repair and cargo.

That should put everybody's mind at ease.  If it were just one panel, then you could tell they are not serious.

I look forward to getting the refund for my families flights cancelled last March quite soon then.

Thai Airways Rehab plan ......    here are the keys sir   !!

Just a reminder that while AOT is 'ready to approve a rehab plan, it's for the court to decide when the plan is put 'into gear.' And in that decision the Creditors have a lot of input. Smartly, Thai has been in negotiations with them in developing a rehab plan. If not, THAI may not emerge from bankruptcy very quickly.

Solly Winehouse..Rehab??? No Hab No Hab   Mai dai  cannot....You go home ..you dirty falang!

AOT is 70% Government owned i believe? So basically one state owned entity have a 'rehabilitation' plan to the other one.

I am sure any decision will of been made on economic principles alone......

The debts and foreclosures from idiotically closing down the world is going to be massive.

IMO, At some stage, a system of all-round debt forgiveness is going to have to be considered.

If company A looks like closing down, owing money to company B,

And Company B is already ridiculously wealthy,

then non repayment of a few debts wont really hurt that rich company.

Yeah i know, Greed is what it is.

The same as interest rates for savers being near zero, while more people get in hopelessly out of control in debt.

Who knows when they will be flying aagain??..??..??..

My flight on the 1st Sept., just got cancelled (4th cxl now), and pushed to start of October.

And the government want to kick me out on the 26th of September.........

Just shoot this dinosaur named Thai Airways and put the taxpayers out of funding this joke.  I know it won’t happen, too many hi-so’s on the gravy train.

They will have been 'ordered' to accept the plan; like it or not !
