webfact Posted August 7, 2020 Share Posted August 7, 2020 PM launches ‘empowering’ chocolate café at Government House By The Nation Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha presided over the opening of APCD 60+Plus Bakery & Chocolate Cafe at Government House, which will provide jobs and empower the physically challenged and elderly. This café is part of the government’s “leave no one behind” project in line with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities pact and will serve as a model for other such businesses. APCD 60+Plus Bakery & Chocolate Café, funded by the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand and JS Vision Ltd, serves up chocolates made by disabled people using ingredients produced by Chiang Mai chocolate producer Mark Rin. The premier has called on the public to support the café so it can provide the workers with a brighter future. They shouldn't eat the chocolate, should remember to take their insulin and monitor blood sugar. But they could still work here. Although, AFAIK, diabetics aren't limited in career choice as much as those facing the challenges of other disabilities and medical conditions.
