Pattaya: "Just one" pub breaking the Covid-19 rules - The Blossom Club is busted

Bang Lamung District chief Amnat Charoensri sent in his deputies and the Pattaya police to check that pubs and bars were shutting on time and following the Covid-19 regulations.

A force for 50 officers arrived at The Blossom Club in Soi Bongkot at 3.30 am Sunday and found 50 tourists merrily getting drunk and dancing, said Naew Na.

The music was turned off and the lights were turned on.

Most of those present were women and tomboys - there were no underage patrons and no drugs.

But there was no social distancing, no temperature checks and only a few masks.

The patrons were allowed to go home but the manager was taken in for questioning and charged with illegally selling alcohol and breaking the Covid-19 rules. The manager was handed over to the Pattaya police after questioning at the Bang Lamung district office.

Pornchai Sang-iat who was in charge of the raid said that most establishments were cooperating and following the rules.

There was only one that wasn't and now action had been taken.

Wonder which one the old foreigner was !

Well, it does say "most of those present" were women and tomboys. Fair few "boys" in there as well. Like how the video guy positioned himself at the exit just before the cops told everyone to leave.
He even adjusted the angle to make sure he could get good face shots of almost everyone leaving (at least the ones who didn't notice the camera in time).

3.30am is a bit past the 12 o'clock requirement .....   what did they think would eventually happen.

Obviously not enough

most places are closed, many of the open observe some rules, some are not observing but nobody cares, running around the clock on night, smokers everywhere and shisha easy to find

Maybe they could argue that they did close at 12, and had just re-opened at 3:00, unaware that they were supposed to stay closed until 3 in the afternoon, not morning ?
