Kenny202
Anyone know a decent western breakfast in Udon thani, preferably open early and near night and day area
Popular Post SunsetT
I would think that the Brickhouse offers a good breakfast. I once had a decent breakfast at the Irish Clock but a good while back now. If u fancy a walk or tuktuk ride, I favour Fuzzy Kens small quiet restaurant near where I stay in the 1st soi to the left of the front entrance of the Paradise Hotel. 3
Puchaiyank
It depends on what a decent breakfast means to you...several places near day and night...hotel buffet...and short order...just walk around...you are sure to find them...

starky
Fuzzy kens has been shut forever hasnt it? Irish clock gone right off the boil. I reckon brick house hands down IMO. You will pay for that quality though. Or the old hotel buffet as others have stated but I've never enjoyed the <deleted> buffet breakfast that is generally served around the joint. FK's has not closed but moved 3 times since it was opposite Central. Ken's jumped ship to Cambodia but it's now run well on a very small scale by his charming lady. Kadilo
Brick House is the best in the Soi or if you want a buffet style eat all you can The Pannerai will sort you out. 250 baht I think it is now.

I would have to agree with the Brick house being best in the street, we eat there regular, good brekkie. We stayed at the Pannerai before moving up here 7 years ago, I was happy to walk to the Irish clock and pay for breakfast such was the quality of the offerings at Pannerai, it must have improved, in all honestly it couldn't get much worse IMO. Patriot
Pannarai was good when it first opened. Brickhouse for me although I believe the Sports Bar opposite has great grub; certainly their burgers are. One thing though, there’s a French guy named Johnny that wanders around helping himself to your fries and bacon, apparently that’s what they do in Quebec.
Kadilo
Sports Bar does really good Indian food now too. Don’t think they do breakfasts.

Popular Post Patriot
The best breakfast nationwide is a 7-11 Ham and Cheese toasted sandwich washed down with a cup of 3in1 coffee; cant beat it. (For under 50 baht aswell!!) 2 1

(For under 50 baht aswell!!) The ham and cheese toasted sandwich could have been actually factory made up to 8 days ago but certainly it was 3 days at the minimum as per 7-11 fresh .... and the 3 in 1 coffee contains copious amounts of sugar and tastes horribly sweet. So i guess it should be under 50 baht. overall ????
Popular Post Patriot
I’m absolutely flabbergasted that you can doubt the taste and nutritional value of my suggested 7-11 breakfast Steven

(For under 50 baht aswell!!) I suggest you buy one of those sandwiches, uncooked, take it home and look inside. Two pieces of awful, cardboard like bread which is several days old and hard, the cheese looks absolutely disgusting not like any cheese I have ever seen before. And a tiny slice of anaemic, artificial-looking meat, plus they often add mayonnaise or salad cream. Admittedly if they toast the hell out of it you can eat it but it's still gross. It doesn't cost much more to make your own, I add fresh chillies to mine: Edited August 25, 2020 by SteveK
Andycoops
I would vote for the Brick house, I had a couple of good breakfasts there just before the lockdown and will return next month for some more of the same.

SweatySock
The Irish Clock used to include black pudding in their breakfast, although I always found it to be tasteless.
