Are the 14 days of quarantine part of the time of stay?

Featured Replies

Hello,

I intend to return to Thailand in a few months (at least I will try ...) with a marriage visa for a period of 5 months (3 months and 2 months extension)
but I wonder about the 14 days of quarantine, are they part of the time of stay which is granted to me?

I mean, do I have 14 days less in my 5 month stay?

The answer to your question is yes. Your permission to stay starts when you are stamped into the country at the airport.

Thank you for your prompt response.

It sounds logical, but I needed to be sure about this.

Now I plan to stay longer with a one year extension and maybe leave sooner.

Unless the authorities soon change the conditions for entering thailand
But that seems unlikely ...

OP, there are some good recent threads detailing people's experience in the whole process of obtaining the COE and the quarantine process. Check them out.

The conditions "might" change when the emergency decree is lifted, but who knows?
