Residence certificate sent to my old address

Featured Replies

A few months ago I moved from one rented condo to another within Bangkok. The landlord registered my arrival online, and I've been using the screenshot of the online TM30 form for my 90 day reporting at least once.

Recently, I went to CW to get a residence certificate, and of course I had to fill out my new address very accurately. After a two weeks I received a notice from my previous landlord that there was a letter for me. And there it was, the residence certificate stating that I live at my old address.

Where did I go wrong?

They post them out ?

Yes, you don't get it immediately. They say within two weeks.

Did you fill out and submit to immigration a tm28 notice of change of address?

Great, I never knew and always trekked back to collect.

No, never heard of TM28. But my Google search tells me it may not be required. Do you think that's the reason?

Every residence certificate I have requested at CW, they always insisted it will be posted to me to my residential address.

Sorry dont know, UJ would be able to advise.

My own experience when I moved to a new residence, I went to CW within 24hrs to specifically fill out a tm28 change of address outside of the TM30 and 90 day reporting.

Did your last TM30 report online go through? If it for some reason didn't, you might still be registered at the old address.
