After Sacha Baron Cohen was spotted filming something as his famous Borat character last month in Long Beach, speculation surfaced about a sequel, which has now been confirmed.

 

Borat 2 has already been filmed and screened for 'a select few industry types,' according to a new report from Collider. 

 

Cohen, 48, had previously revealed in 2007 that he was planning to retire both his Borat and Ali G characters, though it seems he had a change of heart.

 

The sequel reportedly follows Cohen's Borat, who, after the release of the 2006 Borat film, thinks he's a huge movie star.

The first one was quite outrageous and funny dont know how he will better it.

If only he'd have made it in and about Thailand. Obviously would be triple banned here, but the possibilities would be endless...

I'll take the easier road rather than posting analysis on social commentary and why SBC held up a mirror to society etc..

Maybe this one is scripted.  I can't see how they can do it again in USA since everyone knows he is Borat.

After 15+ years, and people being totally oblivious to stuff - I imagine it will be the usual spur of the moment dialogue
The rest scripted for sure - they always had a plan ????

Cohen is a genius. There is little he cannot do. Borat was hysterical. In this age of ultra PC, more of this kind of stuff is needed. Not sure how he can follow up the first one, but I would not ever count him out.

I watched the Netflix's "The Spy" starring him, thoroughly impressed. He's got more than just comedy.

Can't wait!  Thailand would have been an apt location.  Plenty of retired/retards here.

Borat is so last century. Why can't he do something completely different?
