Rescue services were called to the pier of Wat Koh Phaya Jeng in Pak Kret, Nonthaburi on Saturday when a 13 year old boy had an experience he'll never forget.

While out walking and playing in the water with seven friends he stepped on a metal rod that got stuck in his left foot.

He could not release himself and his pals contacted some adults who called Bua Petch Nonthaburi rescue.

The rescue staff took ten minutes to cut him free under the water before he was taken to Pak Kret 2 hospital where the rod was fully removed.

Poor little <deleted>.

ouch, hope he has tetanus shot, and plenty of antibiotic coverage.

Jeez I bet that hurt.

I got tears in my eyes from the photo.

One of those reinforcement rods somchais leave sticking out of tops of concrete pylons everywhere? They are made for impaling people.
