webfact
Video: Hanging wire claims another victim - motorcyclist goes up in flames Dash cam footage from a former rescue official with Ruam Katanyu showed the moment a teacher on a motorcycle went up in flames. A wire had been hanging in the road in the area of Klong 5, Pathum Thani and locals had put a chair out as a warning. As the former rescue guy approached he feared trouble. He said he was on his way home and decided to direct traffic around the wire. But a motorcyclist arrived and there was a flash and fire. The rescue guy had an extinguisher and quickly managed to put out the fire. The 25 year old teacher suffered 30% burns to his body. His passenger, a 15 year old boy, was only slightly hurt. Both were taken to hospital by rescue teams after receiving first aid at the scene of the incident. The footage was widely viewed on Thai social media. RJRS1301
I amazed that there are so few reports of persons especially pedestrians being injured by low hanging power wires. I am sure there is a myriad of ankle sprains and fractures due to them.
