Work Permit cancellation, can get 30 day extension?

Due to drop in student numbers, school decided not to renew contract and work permit will be cancelled on Oct. 21st, If I go to immigration on that day, I can normally apply for 7 day extension. Is it possible to get a 30 extension due to current situation?

The only extension you could get might be the special 30 day extension with a letter from your embassy. Not sure they will be accepting applications for them then.
