Govt MPs Pareena, Srinuan cleared by charter court

The Constitutional Court has ruled that neither Palang Pracharat MP Pareena Kraikupt nor Bhumjaithai MP Srinuan Boonlue has violated the law and that they can continue holding their seats in Parliament.

 

The verdict said that Pareena did not use her position to push locals into demanding that former Future Forward Party leader Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit’s mother Somporn return land believed to be encroaching forest reserves in Ratchaburi’s Chom Bung district.

 

As for the case against Srinuan, the court said there was no evidence to show she was involved in the Public Health Ministry’s budget, which may have been the reason for her expulsion from the now-defunct Future Forward Party.

 

Srinuan, who defected to Bhumjaithai, reportedly asked Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul for funds to build new hospitals in Chiang Mai. Anutin is Bhumjaithai leader.

Wow, this will incite the masses more. They have created there own ticking time bomb and added more fuel to the protesters cause. This government is so two faced and vile. Waiting for the tanks and lockdown orders to be issued once this explodes.

The court also added that if Srinuan had still been a member of the opposition, the outcome would have been quite different.

No doubt. They scare me, too...

Those thinking that the government is going to change and the protestors will make a difference are not looking at reality.

The Constitution states quite clearly that MPs who are in the Government Coalition are Not Guilty of offences committed whilst in conflict with their duties and that members of all Opposition Parties are to be found Guilty and banned from political activities for either 5 or 10 years.

I have always doubted courts decisions when dealing with Politicians and Government ! I mean who appoints these persons to their lucrative positions  isn't it the Government ? Remember you don't bite the hand that feeds you !!!!
