Sophia Loren returns to movies aged 86

Sophia Loren is returning to cinema after an 11-year absence. Loren, 86, stars in upcoming Netflix drama The Life Ahead, which is directed by her son, Edoardo Ponti.

 

In the film, Loren plays Madame Rosa, a Jewish Holocaust survivor who helps raise the children of deceased sex workers with whom she once walked the streets. She then strikes up an enduring friendship with Momo, a 12-year-old Senegalese orphan who tries to steal her candlesticks.

Growing old is a terrible thing. She really was the most beautiful woman on earth.

well she didn't before, so why should she now? An average actor at best.  She surely wasn't in movies due to her acting ability.

Whoopy, Madonna*, Lizzy Taylor, Dianna Dors, Twiggy, Naomi; they are not young any more.

 

She is so hairy.

Nice teeth.

For those of us who wanted to enjoy something different on the screen back in the days, this Bella Donna was something else, along with Gina Lollobrigida and Leslie Caron who starred in Fanny. They don't make em like they used to.

am with you on that, barely average actress and mostly selected not on her acting skills, very similar to what happen with Elizabeth Taylor  555

best actor and best actress usually given to who knows who, which studio financed the movie and so forth, my wife back in 1980's worked in the hollywood film industry for 12 years, she knew how it worked, btw,  the presenter on the video is Bob Hope and ???

If anyone ever got ripped from receiving an Oscar it was Mickey Rooney, albeit it he received an honorary one for his services to the industry which in my opinion should have been given to him after receiving no less than half a dozen Oscars, he was a brilliant actor, but short changed form the Oscars.
