Ministry of Culture Awards Movie Script for COVID-19 Situation

 

 

BANGKOK (NNT) - The Ministry of Culture awarded movie scripts under the theme of new normal and will further make a movie out of the winning scripts to be broadcast, both in Thailand and foreign countries.

 

This project had over 70 contestants and the winners are Mr. Wanchalerm Wattanaworakitkul and Miss Woralak Klasukon. Each of the winners were awarded with certifications and 200,000 baht.

 

The Ministry of Culture will continue to produce movies with a professional production studio. The movies will be aired both in Thailand and abroad.

 

Mr. Itthiphol Khunpluem, Minister of Culture, revealed that this project was launched for the development of the Thai film industry, in order to get closer to the film industries of China, Japan, Korea and India. There are plans to promote the potential of the Thai film and TV industry by establishing a database website at www.contentthailand.com, as a source for resources needed to make a movies, including scripts, workers, directors and others.

 

Recently, the Thai film industry has generated at least a hundred billion baht and generated large economic value for Thailand.

 

The government is currently negotiating with the Film Federation to provide even more support in the future, to raise the level of the Thai film industry and put it the front of Asian production.
