First I saw a Thai language report and was waiting for it to appear here or in the usual sources.

Nothing found so far.

One meager source in English:

https://www.citynews1130.com/2020/10/10/bus-train-collision-in-central-thailand-leaves-17-dead/

(the daughter is on a bus trip to Rayong, to come back tonight, I am always concerned)

It's feared that more than 20 people were killed (not all wreckage searched).

No barrier, "the bus (driver) did not hear the signal" (PBS).

Indeed difficult to hear if it had the wonderful 100 dB+ "entertainment program"?

Associated Press and the Seattle Times were quick to get this story.

RIP to those that didn't survive.

Won't be a good day for travel death statistics today

BUT How can a "supposedly"trained PSV driver not see a train coming beggars belief, they dont just turn up"like a phantom in the night"

How can a driver not see a train on a long straight line? Boggles the mind.

Blind and deaf(ened) at about 9 AM. In clear light!

Wow. You can see a train coming for a long way with its front light. No excuse and the Thai driver of the bus once again has caused irresponsible death. I don't let my kids get on busses here.

The bus passengers were travelling from Samut Prakan province to a Buddhist temple in Chachoengsao for a merit-making ceremony.

I don't have the right words to express my feelings now. RIP and a hopefully speedy and full recovery of the injured ones.

The driver of the bus is at fault, but in a report, it was mentioned that it rained, and he must not have seen the train?

Having the lives of so many people in your hand, you must see anything that could be a danger for your passengers.

I can only imagine what a sad day that is for so many people, those who help to get the dead bodies out, included.

“The death toll we have so far is 17,” he said, adding that the accident occurred around 8 am (0100 GMT).

Provincial governor Maitree Tritilanond told reporters that so far about 29 people were injured.

Early images by rescue workers showed gnarled metal and debris, with bodies lying by the train tracks and people’s belongings scattered.

The bus was overturned on its side, the top of it ripped off, and rescue workers said a crane was needed to lift it.

The number of casualties and injured is expected to rise.

My heart goes out to all the poor people who have lost their loved ones.
