I have UTFSE but could not find any solid info on this. Apparently there is a new regulation concerning construction of properties on vacant lands which will be effective in July.

Specifically for Bangkok:

- What is the minimum surface of land required to build a house? And for an apartment building?

- What is the maximum building surface in percentage of the land ?

- What is the maximum number of floors you can build without having to get a permit/comply with the new environmental regulations..etc ?

Any info or relevant links would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks !

Hi there....

As I just returned to my country after 3 weeks of vacation, I have spent most of the time over there with looking and dealing with property. Your questions about the required land or maximum land is very confusing but as you know there are some regulations. As I found out, that even most property brokers or landlords do not know all the regulations, the experience I have, as I am speaking Thai as well and have a lot of good friends telling me all I have to know about buing and selling property in the Kingdom, you should go and as the banks of Thailand. They are mostly involved in this business with loans or just with an experties. If you want to be sure about going into this it is the best reference that I can give you.

Cheers Dan...
