libya 115
SOURCE: Pattaya People: May 2nd 2007 Speeding Biker Hits Foreigner At 2.40 am on 2nd May the Pattaya Police were informed that a motorbike had hit a foreigner who was crossing South Pattaya and 3rd Road junction. The Thai motorcyclist and foreigner were both injured. At the scene the police saw that the Thai motorcyclist was okay so assisted the seriously injured foreigner first. He had a number of head wounds and a deep cut on his ankle. The Sawang rescuers and tourist police volunteers quickly rushed him to the hospital before anyone could find his name or nationality. Mr. Phongphat Khamkiaw, aged 22, stated that he rode off when the traffic lights on his side turned green but this foreigner suddenly crossed the road in front of him and he couldn’t brake in time. The police allowed Mr. Phongphat to go to the hospital after recording his statement and will have to wait for both parties to recover before setting an appointment for them to negotiate expenses involved. freckle
This is one for the museum: -the thai actually stopped to help an injured farrang. -the thai admitted blame. i can visualize this so clearly as so many people gas it before the light even changes to green. many people cross at the lights when the countdown clock is in full view so it's no secret the lights will be changing very soon. Mighty Mouse
The medical bill for the farang will be high. Travel insurance is a must.

tropo
This is one for the museum:-the thai actually stopped to help an injured farrang. -the thai admitted blame. Where does it indicate that the Thai admitted blame? He actually blamed the farang by saying he suddenly crossed the street against the lights. Where does it indicate that "the Thai" (I assume you mean the motorcyclist) stopped to help and injured farang. It was the police who assisted him.
