November 1, 20205 yr Hi, I was on Amnesty and extended my stay a further 90 days with a Medical Extension which will expire in December. I'm hoping to be out of Thailand before my permission to stay expires but it looks like I might have to wait a little longer. Will it be possible to go to an immigration office in December and apply for a 60 day tourist extension? Or is that an unresolved issue that needs to be confirmed by the Thai government in the future?
November 1, 20205 yr Thinking yes for sure. Many countries going into lockdown currently. Belgium, UK, France. USA a mess. Hopefully you can apply for 60 day extension. MTT (Bangkok) issuing without embassy letter.

"As far a I know it is for all categories of entries or existing extensions." 15 hours ago, Jaymatheson said: Hi, I was on Amnesty and extended my stay a further 90 days with a Medical Extension which will expire in December. November 2, 20205 yr Author Thanks Jack & Daithi. I was up-to-date and understood what was going on during the whole Amnesty scenario but now a little confused. 1. Is there legislation outlining what post-Amnesty foreigners can do in the future to extend their stay? 2. If it's a simple visit to immigration, fill in a form, pay a fee and get an additional 60 days then how long will this be tolerated? Until the end of 2020 or will it continue after? 3. Ubonjoe said it is likely for all categories of entries or existing extensions. Is it a simple waiting game to have that confirmed by government or will it be a roll of the dice when you walk into an immigration office in December looking to add 60 days to a Medical Extension?
