PHUKET:-- Phuket health officials today publicly recognised the 38-year-old Dutch national confirmed as infected with COVID-19 in Phuket, saying that the man arrived on the island after being infected in his home country.

Details of the case were announced through a press conference broadcast live through Facebook today (Nov 11), a public relations exercise Phuket officials have not used for months.

Leading the press conference was Somsuk Sumtarnprateep, Deputy Chief of the Phuket Provincial Health Office (PPHO).

You might have missed it, but the idea of quarantine is to stop the Thai population being infected with covid. 10,000 worldwide deaths yesterday and again zero in Thailand. Hasn’t been a covid death here for more than six months.

Cant get more effective than that.

A total of 60 covid deaths since the beginning of all this.
USA, UK, France, Italy, Belgium etc had more than that before breakfast today. I don’t want them coming here until they sort themselves out.

I believe that all of this testing is madness and is there to keep everyone in fear and panic mode until the trillion dollar vaccines arrive.

"Deaths worldwide for pneumonia which is a common respiratory infection,[2] affecting approximately 450 million people a year and occurring in all parts of the world.[3] It is a major cause of death among all age groups, resulting in 1.4 million deaths in 2010 (7% of the world's yearly total) and 3.0 million deaths in 2016 (the 4th leading cause of death in the world).[3][4]

Pneumonia is a type of lower respiratory tract infection, and is also the most deadly communicable disease as of 2016.[4] Rates are greatest in children less than five and adults older than 75 years of age.[3] It occurs about five times more frequently in the developing world versus the developed world.[3] Viral pneumonia accounts for about 200 million cases".[3]

From where I am sitting and from what research I have read and videos seen, I am of the opinion that Covid-19 is just another form of Pneumonia which if you believe what they say, spreads easier, how convenient, and kills mainly the elderly, those with weak immune systems, pre-existing conditions and those with obesity, um in case you're wondering, Pneumonia has had the same effect for decades.

Last but not least, you say Thailand has 60 deaths due to Covid-19, yes well those are the recorded "Covid-19" deaths, what about the spike in Pneumonia deaths this year, any explanation for that. I also hear 78 people died on the roads here the other day, no lockdown of the country for the continued daily road deaths, I suppose we can't say road deaths are contagious even though they spread them all over the road every day.

Not saying Covid-19 doesn't exists, but I feel as if the people have been blindsided because governments are not prepared to listen or debate with those on the outside of government advisors, I mean there are top scholars, professors, epidemiologist etc etc in their fields which could contribute to this, showing the penny has two sides, but nope, they don't want to listen, so democracy turns to socialism in my opinion.

Let's see what happens down the road shall we.

Yes those are the published figures but it's strange that the only extra people found with covid19 are people who have come out of quarantine or who have returned home from Thailand. Thailand has done a great job in keeping covid19 under control but the figures are not completely accurate.

Has anyone wondered with all the mass protests (super spreader events) in BKK for weeks, there is no report of any case or spite in coronavirus cases?  The Thais must be a very resilient lot.  Or is it a case of no test - no case?  All the recent cases reported in Thailand are from those arriving from overseas (foreigners and Thais) and undergoing quarantine (mandatory tests).

The Thais really are doing an amazingly first rate job with this compulsory quarantine.

Everyday for months now it seems they are finding cases and effectively stopping it spreading throughout the country because of the procedures they are enforcing.

So far so good. I hope nobody slips up. So many will lose so much if it gets out again. Many are just hanging on as it is, another outbreak will be their death knell and if it does it will also probably be the end of STV visa.

Not just Thailand does on arrival quarantine. Even African countries do it. 1st world Europe is displaying incompetence. All about shortterm gain resulting in another lockdown.

Mr Somsuk later told The Phuket News that he could not confirm where the Dutch family had arrived from.

“I am not sure if they visited the airport in Bangkok before they came to Phuket International Airport. They are long-term tourists who signed up under the Special Tourist Visa (STV) in Phuket province,” he said. !

WHAT ??? You have them in a ASQ in Phuket seemingly , but despite arriving on a private jet you have no idea where they were ?? Seriously !!
Who else has just wandered in then that nobody has a clue where they have been ? Blinded by money obviously !

Yup Thailand has not reported a lot of Covid 19 deaths, but I can imagine that the

spike in pneumonia and other lung related deaths have spiked a lot, Hey, but they are NOT

covid deaths, so great work Thailand.  Low covid deaths,  for sure.  Jing, Jing..

Geezer
