Hello,

I am looking for a dentist recommendation in Pattaya or Sri Racha area, that has good reputation and decent prices.

My insurance covers very badly treatments like root canal and crown.

The only place I have been is Phyathai hospital in Sri Racha and I found the treatment costly, so would anyone has recommendation about dental clinic in Pattaya or Sri Racha area ?

Thanks a lot in advance.

My favorite for very many years. I always go to the man (you have to tell them). His wife works there as dentist too. He is also a specialist for implants.

The dentist's name is Dr Warin Leekpai. I recommend him as well

A few years back I used the dentist who has a clinic in the large Mall beside the Hilton Hotel. It’s on the same floor as the beauty services. I was a bit apprehensive as I wasn’t sure how skilled and professional they would be. But the lady who dealt with me was really excellent, and as good as any dentist I’d used in the UK, and I’ve had some good ones. Worth a try if you can’t find one you like.

Spooky, I was gonna start a similar thread myself but geared more towards finding a dentist that will administer sedation for a very nervous patient in the Pattaya area, I have to pay myself as no insurance cover for that.

I have tried a couple of Dental practices & also approached a couple of hospitals, still waiting on some replies from some of them. If anyone can help I would be most grateful.

Torso84, I hope you have no objection to my post on your thread, thanks ????

there is plenty of dentists opposite tuk com

on south pattaya rd, you can go from door to door

and ask, but since they are next doors,

i think the bottom cost is already reached among all

Yeah, the first place I went to in Pattaya was one of those little shophouse dentists near TukCom that some Thai friends recommended. Crazy cheap prices. A root canal and 2 fillings was something like the equivalent of $180 US. By comparison, in Canada (BC for example which seems to be one of the cheapest places for dental work in Canada), a single root canal would cost the equivalent of $360 US and each filling upwards of $120 US (so about $600 US if I had the work done in Canada compared to $180 in Thailand) at that time.

Went back a year later though and they had a new owner/dentist and the prices had skyrocketed. I was going to do some implants but when I saw what they wanted (the new prices) I went elsewhere.
Found a shop on Soi Khao Noi that was way cheaper and had the work done there.

But that was 10 years ago. Just went back to get a broken tooth fixed (an old one that had already had a root canal done on it). Dentist said he'd have to remove what was left of the old tooth then make a crown, which would require removing the crowns already in place on each side of the missing tooth.
Total cost for extraction (of the rest of the broken tooth), removals of the 2 crowns, a temporary crown and permanent crown - 21,500 baht. ($710 USD currently.)

One clinic in Canada would charge over $1,240 USD for a single crown and another $104 for a single extraction, so no less than $1,345 US equivalent for the same procedure. Not including labour and expenses ! Add in the labour, the (numerous) x-rays, novocaine injections and other miscellaneous costs and you'd probably be looking at over $2,000 US.

Personally, I would recommend checking out dentists far away from the "downtown" core of Pattaya. Go out to the darkside and find some small shop that mainly caters to Thais.
