Watch the dramatic trailer for Francis Ford Coppola’s new ‘Godfather III’ cut

The first trailer for Francis Ford Coppola’s upcoming restored version of The Godfather III has been released – watch it below.

 

The new version was announced back in September, and is promised to be Coppola and author Mario Puzo’s “true vision” for the 1990 film.

 

Titled Mario Puzo’s The Godfather, Coda: The Death of Michael Corleone, the updated cut is touted as a “more appropriate conclusion” to The Godfather trilogy,” and Coppola said of the title: “[It’s] an acknowledgement of Mario’s and my preferred title and our original intentions for what became The Godfather: Part III.”

 

He added: “For this version of the finale, I created a new beginning and ending, and rearranged some scenes, shots, and music cues.

Oh yes, to wake up to something warm and gooey, comforting, I really miss these movies, hope this one delivers what it promises....

did he cut out all the scenes with his daughter who is a great director but a horrible actress. 

How to make money from movies when one isn't making movies.

It's awful at the moment. I went to see one that was made in 2017 but put up now as a new release.

The legacy continues.  I'll be waiting for it.  Kudos!

DVD players should let me decide the order in which I want to watch the scenes; then I would be able to 'cut' my own version. A cheap chip should be enough to accomplish this.

 

As I understand it, this is a remastered version of a 30 year old movie, nothing new.
