The seven-bedroom London mansion which was owned by George Michael has been sold for £19 million.

The hefty price tag is more than double that the Wham! singer paid, when he snapped up the Highgate property for £8 million.

The singer bought the house, which comes with a swimming pool, in 2002 and he lived there until his death in 2016, aged 53.

George died of a heart attack and liver complications on Christmas Day and the house was bequeathed to his father Kyriacos Panayiotou, who has reportedly sold it four years after it was left to him.

So he lived there 14 years, to date 18 yrs after he bought it & price doubled (2.3X).

I bought my Victorian cottage in Portland Oregon in 1988 for $ 37,500, sold it 12 years later for $165,000... 4.4 times what I paid. Portland became the "trendy" place to live, so glad I moved to Asia after selling. I did lots of work on it over the summers (I was a teacher)... friend said parlor looked like "Victorian Asian Bordello", which I took as a compliment.

Not quite sure what intent of article: was it showing GM was a shrewd investor?
