Is this course worth the 1800baht price??

Way over priced at present- better courses to be had at 1200-1400 baht

Don,t know why Thaivisa Golf bother with these offers ....should tell the Golf Course this is not good enough. Emerald 1050 all in with Thai dl Eastern Star 400baht Green fee for the 1st 800 Golfers, Plutaluang 1000baht all in...these golf courses are on your doorstep do you really think your offer is worth taking up.

I see Phoenix have increased there green fee for December from 900baht to 1300baht......Why??????

We post what the courses send us to keep you up to date....your opinion and those of our many viewers are still important as golf course managers do look at your comments. The power of the public is what can help keep prices low. That said from our observations over the past few months, more people are playing Rayong Green Valley than many other clubs at the moment, so it is still a popular course.

Okay i ,ll take your word for that, but on the Birdie website only one person has made a comment about the course in the last 6 months,so perhaps that is why they need to advertise.

I do appreciate what Thaivisa Golf has done or been doing for golf since the lockdown, this golf section has exploded out of all proportion, but you are at the front of it and imo you can say to these courses this or that offer is not good enough. I am due to play Burapha in the next 2 weeks 950 baht all in....that is an offer.... Lotus Valley, Green Valley, Phoenix they are not offers imo. Siam Country Club (Plantation Course) did a 2000baht all-in promotion for a one or 2 day period in September, very successful very well supported,so they did it again...for November only this time it was 3000baht instead.....not so successful....i wonder why.:whistling:

Same as the 1050 baht all-in deal at Pattaya Country Club for afternoon games.

Only just started, but will finish at the end of December

I won't be playing a Green Valley, St. Andrews, or the Phoenix until they really lower their prices to be in line with Emerald, Eastern Star, Patavia, Greenwood, Patana, and Navy. Good luck to them, but they won't be seeing any of my baht.

We value all our viewers comments, and to be honest it will be the public's opinion that will eventually determine what clubs are capable of charging. I do know certain clubs are concerned about reducing their rates too much as they feel it maybe hard to raise them again to their normal rates after the pandemic stops.

Understandable but short sighted unless you have enough punters at this time already to cover your costs. Keeping prices at least at low season levels would be sensible.

Green Valley you used to be able to walk and I believe has quite a few expat members who play there regularly. They used to offer 800 baht reduced gf on certain days.

St Andrews has always been much, much pricier and 1800 is probably a reduced normal low season price (so good for them) - which further suggests Green Valley is expensive? St Andrews was also closed for renovation for a chunk of 2019 as well....

  • 2 weeks later...

Unfortunately, the Governor of Rayong Province has just ordered that Rayong Green Valley, Eastern Star and The Emerald golf courses to be closed due to COVID-19.
