Golf courses in Rayong  forced to close due to COVID-19

We have just been informed by the East Coast Golf Course Management Association (EGA) that Rayong Green Valley, Eastern Star and The Emerald golf courses are closed.

Also due to a Japanese golfer catching Covid 19, Greenwood Country Club has been temporarily closed for 14 days.

We will naturally keep you posted as and when courses are forced to close or are then able to reopen.

Meanwhile if a course in your area is forced to close, do please let everyone know by posting a comment.

Well ! I suppose thats the end to the TAT dream of Golf Course ASQ then.

So you can't distance out doors where it is safer but you can go to 7/11? Loonatics have definitely taken over the asylum

Not quite, Golf is not exactly a requirement but I will miss it (again)

You never know who the staff have been in contact with

Not that I like golf  , but surely this is an activity that can easily accommodate the idea of social  distancing  .

Its outdoors , nobody is allowed crowd the hole , EVERYONE can stand back and  make space teeing off.

Close the Clubs bar ,  entry to Pro shop one at a time  and masked  etc, etc.

Its stuff like this that  distracts even the most sincere - like , "No Swimming in the Ocean" rules , last lockdown.

Common sense should be allowed to prevail a lot more at these times ...sigh...

Another ridiculous measure to suck the fun out of life.

That's right. Unless the virus is hiding in the trees the chances of me catching it on a golf course are pretty close to zero.

In the UK we don't have Caddy's so golfing is allowed, except during Lockdown. The pins are not touched, and there is a restricter in the hole which prevents the ball dropping.

You mean you choose not to play? Chonburi courses are still open with some very close to some of the Rayong courses.......

Just heard that Siam Country Club's Waterside is currently closed. Can anyone confirm this?
