A 78-year-old woman in Bangkok was found to infected with the Covid-19 virus on December 19.

The patient resides in the Prachachuen area of the capital.

Investigation revealed that she had visited Mahachai Market in Samut Sakhon province in early December. The market is at the centre of a major outbreak in the province.

On December 12, she developed nose irritation and in December 15, she had a headache and lost her appetite.

On Dec 18, she went to Kasemrad Hospital in Prachachuen for a checkup and tested positive for Covid-19.

On Dec 19, she was sent to Mongkutwattana Hospital.

The Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration will reveal more details on Sunday.

let's hope so.
I hope they can control this outbreak, otherwise we will be in a world of pain very soon

Richard Barrow was reporting it yesterday.

The authorities should reveal it on friday, as soon as she was tested.

there is no point forwarding old information, withholding the truth, downplaying danger.

2 days has passed without action, by now many more people might have been infected and difficult to trace

I'm hearing that all countdown parties in Bangkok have been cancelled and people are being asked to work from home for 14 days? Anyone can confirm?

lockdown by friday ?

Would be madness otherwise.

They can come to the countdown parties in Pattaya. No problem.

If they do come to the Countdown Parties in Pattaya, who is to say that they wont bring the Virus with them.

The count is near 900 now in Samut Sakhon, and will surely rise in the next few Days.

Pattaya seems to be immune against Covid. It had endless Chinese tourists and has also endless entertainment venues and no Covid problem. Has there ever been a case here? I can't remember anymore.

The whole of Thailand thought they were immune after all the Government rhetoric.

They are not so positive now.

Probably because Covid has to fight for space with all the other transmissible viruses floating around..

a few hundred are and climbing !

If Thailand has that same strain that is just now hitting the UK, well good luck. maybe it will not

have any more strength than the first strains, but if it is really contagious, well Good Luck to you

all as you will need it.  Of course there may be lots of people who get it and survive, so do not

panic, unless you are old, and you have just got over a common flu like my cousin. His body was

still weak, and when he caught Covid 19, he only survived a week. Now deceased at 54.

Here in Alberta Canada, there were churches that were trying to stay open, so wasted the

courts time. Thankfully the judge was not on their side.   Thankfully we do not have too many

Donald Trump like people in the judges positions.  So Good Luck Thailand, hope you all get your

vaccines in the next several months. I know that I will get it when my turn comes.

Geezer
