It seems there is no POTY this year, how disappointing. Geronimo must be livid, and Yinn will miss the handing back the tiara ceremony and receiving her TVF winning T-shirt...

 

Is this the end of a TVF era, where the POTY hopefuls will now have to stop being nice on the forum. ????

 

Could it be that the POTY winners plaques on the walls of the TVF foyer will become valuable, I mean, Myself, Colin, Nancy, Naam could end up with offers for the hard fought accolades, hmmmm.

 

Suppose all hope of my TVF T-shirt actually turning up is now hopeless.

 

Oh well, at least the "outside" invaders that tried to balls POTY up every year will be well disappointed, Monopoly "bored" game for them.....????

I would have thought Trump was in with a chance. He has many acolytes here.  He may still try to overturn the decision.

 

Seriously, the demise of this farcical event can only be a good thing in my opinion.

I run Tvisa all day, as I suffer in the covid ridden UK, chilled in my basement flat, relying on Tvisa to stress my computer that the fan pumps out hot air to warm my only room. Sitting in my balaclava, finger less gloves tapping gently on the keyboard stimulating my Western Union app to send more money to Thailand compensating for a now poor exchange rate, before the GBP goes into free fall, and I become destitute and deserted........the electricity failing and losing sight of my only link with Thailand......waiting for my next food parcel.

 

 

I try to remain cheerful, dreaming of the day when I too can reside in Thailand, feel alive, regenerated,  joining the complaining on Tvisa????

What happend with last year's poty? Not that I miss her but from time to time it was amusing to read her comments.

What a load of codswallop, 2 years ago i was P.O.T.Y. been a member here 13 years, only ever used 1 user name, my own, so please enlighten me where you came up with that multi- membership nonsense from.

Here is what happens, POTY is extremely fast moving and requires real time and effort to keep up with the ebb and flow, highlighted, by the many regular posters who missed the photos in the threads last year, many photos of the candidates, both humorous and insightful

 

So as with any forum fast moving thread, full of exploding tangents, most will fall away who simply cannot be bothered or are not prepared to spend the time and effort required to participate

 

Having said that last years POTY was a rather drawn out affair

It is amazing, as the UK collapses under the 'covid strain' the royal mail is still functioning, a Christmas card from my sister arrived today, containing a generous £20 note.

I enthusiastically followed the POTY 2019 competition and found it very very entertaining. Would really be a pity if there was no POTY election for 2020, especially as 2020 has been such a lousy year due to Covid. Many of us including myself had not much reason to laugh this year. Some final fun in TV forum would be very welcome.
