Za Somewhere

Featured Replies

Normally I find watching Thai television a complete waste of time for improving my Thai as they just speak way too fast, however "Za Somewhere" on UBC's Explore 3 channel is a real gem. 9 o'clock every evening (repeated during the day too I think), the intrepid Ray Macdonald visits some fascinating foreign city giving you the low-down on everything from sightseeing to the local cuisine. He speaks slowly and intelligbly for the most part and you can generally fill in the words you don't understand from the context and the visual clues. Watch it with your Thai partner for assistance and I guarantee it's 30 minutes well spent from a learning perspective.
