How much did you pay for your Cov-id Insurance?

Featured Replies

Looks like you need cover of $100,000 USD for Cov-id19

I am 31 years old - Hoping to a 60 day tourist visa - No Medical Conditions

Anyone have a rough ballpark figure on what it might cost me?

Thanks

Go to this web site sent to me by my local Thai embassy.  https://covid19.tgia.org/

Enter your details and see how much it can cost. The prices change depending on the country you apply from.

Are you allowed to purchase from an insurance company in your own country or do you have to use 1 of the thai insurance providers from that website?

Thanks

You can use one from your own country. But it must clearly state that covid is covered in your plan.

It is based on how long you will be here, the amount of coverage which in this case is $100,000 and age.

I brought insurance about a week ago and it cost roughly $230 for 3 months or covid. Plan is worth $500k. A small price to pay. Im 34

Seems incredibly expensive (even) compared a normal non-US health insurance policy.

Sure maybe but for me personally I don't care. I'm not there yet. I'm set to leave a a few weeks. I'm also taking a covid test for $250 for same day results. Obviously I would prefer the old way to get into thailand but it looks like it will be another year of quarantine and paperwork there

82 Euro with Revolut pre paid Mastercard Premium package.

If your tested wether asymtomatic or positive your are hospitalised, do all policies pay out as it’s not for emergency treatment ?
