Extensions of stay based upon retirement in clause 2.22 of the immigration orders and amendments to the them in this pinned topic. https://forum.thaivisa.com/topic/981135-laws-regulations-police-orders-etc/

There is also some info about 90 day reporting there as well.

Thailand does not have tourist visas on arrival at this time. Fifteen day visas on arrival are possible for those from 21 countries are normally available but at this time time they have been canceled.

There are 30 day visa exempt entries possible for those from many countries. There is no rule for the number of them that can be done over any period of time. At land border crossings the are limited to 2 per calendar year.

Thanks very much, appreciate that.

If you post your citizenship and location, you might get some excellent advice.  Currently, an OA for retirement might be the best choice.  Downside is a health policy will be required in addition to c19 insurance.  I went for the "throw away" policy that is 6000 per year.
