question about the COVID extension visa

Featured Replies

hello everyone ! I need someone help!
I want to stay here and I am trying to find a job in bangkok / nonthaiburi

is it possible to change to non - b visa if I am holding a TR visa during this COVID extension period?

i am finding some teaching job in this month , some of them they said can not help me to apply non-b as I am a in a extension period ? Is it true ?

what about if I change to ED visa and change to non- b and get my work permit here?

Thank you very much !!

You can apply for a 90 day non-b visa at immigration with a 60 day tourist visa entry that was extended by applying for a 60 day covid 19 extension.

It would be even more difficult to apply for a non-ed visa unless you were attending a university.

can I do that by myself?

anything I need to show them ??

but why the teaching company told me , they can not do that because I was in extension period?

(yes my visa is tourist 60days from March 2020)

(They are in nonthaiburi, do they have different requirements of that? not the same as bangkok? )

I had been extended my visa (COVID extension) one time until 22nd Jan , I am confusing what should I do the next?

The requirements to changing to a non-b visa is here. https://bangkokimmigration.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/02.pdf

As you can see you will need documents from the school you will be teaching.

Unless you were able to apply today or tomorrow you would not have 15 days remaining on your current 60 day extension.

You will need to apply for another 60 day covid 19 extension to the application.

It should not be any different from one province to another.

what they said is , I can apply for non-b if I were still in 90days from my original TR visa, and now I am in COVID extension they are not allow to help me.

Is it sounds strange ? I don’t know what they think......

my visa now is belong my TR visa , isn’t it?

if like that , I could never get any working visa in Thailand ?

People have a applied for the non immigrant visas at immigration after being under the amnesty and extensions since entering the country. There is no rule that states it has to be within the original 60 days and the 30 day extension of it.

Go to immigration and ask them about it or ask the school to call the local office.

MTT is a sub office of Bangkok immigration and they do not issue non immigrant visas or long stay extensions of stay.
