Something like this ask them upside drive to 500gb ssd won't cost much extra. Edited January 15, 2021 by Bruce Aussie Chiang Mai Image
Eindhoven
Many variables, but a good way to check if corners have been cut, is to check the webcam specs(strange I know) VGA/640 x 480 indicates cheap rubbish. So contrary to popular opinion, I check for webcam resolution, then screen quality(look for IPS/WVA), otherwise they often supply low quality TN screens(poor viewing angles, often dim), perhaps 220 nits if you are lucky. More cheap rubbish. Very good would be 300-nit IPS, but you won't achieve that at your price point. Instead they try to blind you with the headline of Processor, RAM and storage capacity. Most people don't look beyond that. 1 MP HD webcam is the absolute minimum. 1.3 upwards is better. IPS screen also a minimum these days. Thirdly and just as importantly, is that is supplied with PCIe SSD. Lastly and equally as important, is maintenance; if the thing is difficult to service by yourself(swap RAM and SSD etc) then it's not recommended. 1
Popular Post dddave
Lazada is ok if you really know what you want but in your case, where you say you don't really know that much, I'd suggest going online to www.invadeit.com, probably the best and most trustworthy online IT seller in Thailand. Send a message through the website to Thomas, the general manager. He is knowledgeable and straightforward. Tell him what you have in mind and what you want to spend and I can assure you, he will steer you to the best product at that price. They are not the cheapest around but their prices are competitive and you can trust them. 2
J Town
Depends - what do you want to do with it? Most people browse the web, email, social media, watch a few movies. If that's the case, a 500 GB SSD and 8GB ram machine with an Intel core I5 cpu will be plenty adequate.

Then there are the misleading pics and specifications. Anyone who knew anything about components would smell something fishy. First off, it is described as a Teclast. But AFAIK, Teclast don't use that seven year old CPU, but Celeron processors from perhaps three years ago. Perhaps another no-name laptop, such a Auktion. But then look at the specs: i5-4200 CPU but UHD Graphics 600? BS! UHD 600 will be in conjunction with an N4000 series CPU on those things. As I wrote earlier, most people look at the headlines...
jayceenik
Early last year I bought a 13K Baht Binai laptop. No warranty. Came from China. I was only looking for a cheap laptop with a good 15.6" screen to watch YouTube outdoors in the evening. No gaming. That Binai had a great screen but went clonk with a bad SSD just 6 months later. It was a bad buy. I dumped it. I didn't want to fix it. Then I bought an 11k Baht 15.6" screen BMAX. Warranty one year from factory in BKK. Brilliant! Came quick in super packaging. A good buy. I'm totally satisfied with it. I'd recommend it. Here is the one I have : https://www.lazada.co.th/products/bmax-x15-156-1920x1080-ips-win1064-bit-intel-gemini-lake-n4100-8gb-lpddr4-128gb-ssd-i1385280884-s3530722072.html?exlaz=d_1:mm_150050845_51350205_2010350205::12:1498579383!58089999096!!!pla-294682000766!c!294682000766!3530722072!250690966&gclid=CjwKCAjwh7H7BRBBEiwAPXjadlLvr9edNVg4q8-2J3Jr9uSVajy9wo5PIAgSQ0-lTd1nJou6MKrpaxoCy8cQAvD_BwE http://bmaxit.com/en/product/laptops/

pseudorabies
I've used Dell laptops for the past 20 years both at work and at home. Last year I got my wife an XPS13 with touchscreen, i7 processor etc. A really beautiful machine. I also bought a Pixelbook for myself. If I had to choose one of them to keep I'd pick the Pixelbook in a second. The OS is faster, easier to use IMO and the operation is smoother and more trouble free. When the XPS eventually dies she'll be getting an Chrome laptop as well.

My Chinese made "Jumper EZBook3 Pro" has lasted through 3 years of being banged around in a backpack without any issues. My "B-Max B 2+" Mini-PC has caused several major headaches. The B-Max installed Win-10 OS crashed with an update and would not open. B-Max service denied any warranty coverage as they did when the system SSD also crashed and burned several months later. Warranty?? What warranty?

Disposable rubbish. Clearly so if it was too much to simply swap the storage drive.

Do you think advice here covers every single person in every single situation? Are you really that pedantic? It's general advice on buying a laptop. You have to think about why they would put a VGA webcam in a 2020/2021 device. Cost cutting and perhaps the inability to render an HD webcam. You can buy whatever you want.
