anybody in this situation ?

 

Nok air 2020 flight cancelled and refunded to nokair account (they didn't actually refund customers), need to book a new flight within 1 year of cancelled flight.

 

But now flying to travel is not really an option, so is the ticket lost after the 1 year period ?

Air Asia ripped me off the same way. Asked me if I wanted credit or a cash refund for a pretty expensive flight to the Philippines. I opted for the refund, they gave me the credit and no way to complain about it.

I will probably use them again for routes where there are no other options, but there is no doubt in my mind that the management of AirAsia are crooks.

For comparison, FinnAir reimbursed me fully for the unused portion of a return flight to Europe.
