Read that in Chiang Mai, you are allowed to apply for another extension if you have 45 days or less left on the current one. Is this rule applicable in MTT as well? My stamp will end on Feb 28th.

The 30 or 45 day allowed is normally only for a long stay extensions.

Short Stay extensions are normally only 2 weeks early but some will them earlier.

What extension will you be applying for?

I'm on Covid extension (2nd extension). Looking to transition to ED next month, but the application takes a while to process for some school.

I guess all you do is try. Could be wasted trip. I think it would be.

Note you need/should make online booking for extension if you decide to give it a go.

Personally I think the covid extensions will continue. Cold comfort as I'm more often wrong than right.
