Airplane to Samui and speed-boat or ferry transfer (if they are operating again) to Tao; second easy is some way of transportation to Chumphon and boat from there (if boats are sailing).

Last I heard was that Tao is closed for tourists, I haven't heard it has reopened, but might be.

Nightlife might well depend on

1) if allowed to sell alcohol (at the moment not)

2) number for tourists, and locals, with interest in nightlife

Hope some Tao-residents will give you a better update.

Koh Tao is still closed to tourists as far as I am aware. (Yesterday.)

The only ferry at the moment is the 'supply' ferry from Chumpon.

This should change at the end of the month. Please note - 'should'.
