Kamphaengphet local police reported that nine Myanmar workers were abandoned on the side of a road in Muang Kamphaengphet district by their employer yesterday. The police had to communicate with them through a translator on the phone, since none of them can speak Thai.

The police said the information given by each worker was confusing, as some said they came to Kamphaengphet by a public bus, some said they were a van. They are, however, all from Mahachai market in Samut Sakhon.

The police said that the workers were apparently on their way to Mae Sot district in tak province, and plan to return to Myanmar. When their transportation was passing through Kamphaengphet, their driver stopped and told them to get out. Then the driver just drove away.

No doubt took their money and did a "runner" - typical Thai behavior for MONEY, MONEY, MONEY. Just like the politician's wife caught smuggling illegal migrants.
