Lost and replaced passport - how to do my 90 day reporting and add my existing non immigrant OA (marriage) visa into my new passport

Featured Replies

Hello. I lost my UK passport a couple of weeks ago here in Thailand, and am just waiting for my new passport to arrive from the UK. My first 90 day report was due yesterday but as my new passport will obviously be blank when it arrives here, how do I carry out my 90 day report with no report slip in it, and how do you I get my old visa stamp (valid until Nov 2021) into my new passport? I have a letter from the police in Chon Buri stating my old passport was reported as being lost. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

When you pickup your passport at the Trendy building they will give you a letter for info about your new passport that immigration will want.

You will then go to immigration to get your info from immigrations records to have your extension and etc reinstated in your new passport. They will want a copy of the police report and this completed form.

If you have any copies of your passport showing the photo page, visa and extensions stamps that will help. Same for your TM6 card if it was lost as well.

It is your first 90 day report immigration would have no records of one being done so it would be hard to get that done now. They should not fine you for late reporting if you have the police report for your lost passport.

Thanks for the reply, I'm very grateful. My passport is coming from the UK (my Mum received it yesterday and has just sent it over to me in Thailand), as I was told to apply for it back there and get it posted to my home address in the UK before posting out to Thailand. Will I need this letter you mentioned from the UK embassy once my passport arrives, or can I just head to Chon Buri immigration with my new passport, photocopies of old passport and stamps together  with the letter from the Thai police? Thanks again.

Who told you to do that. It should been applied for here. Did you submit a lost passport report?

You can contact the embassy about getting the blank form needed to do the reinstatement of your extension and etc.

Info for getting the letter is here. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/notarial-and-documentary-services-guide-for-thailand#transferring-your-thai-visa-after-renewing-your-british-passport

Thanks Ubonjoe, it was probably my mistake. I reported the passport as lost with the UK passport agency, and was prompted to apply for a new passport to be sent to my home address in the UK. I've reported the passport as lost with both the UK passport office and the Chon Buri police. I'll contact the UK embassy in Thailand for the blank form about reinstating my extension of stay as soon as I receive the new passport in the post, then head to Chon Buri immigration to try and sort this out. Thanks again for your help, I'm very grateful
