jimini Posted February 10, 2021 Posted February 10, 2021 I'm currently in Hong Kong and going through the process of applying for a TR visa. Part of the application is that you need to have proof of accommodation for after your 14 day ASQ. This is quite annoying as I want to keep my plans very flexible in case there are more regional lockdowns in between now and when I arrive in Thailand. How have other people dealt with this? I'm thinking to book the cheapest hostel possible in Bangkok for 14 days, but i'd rather not just waste a couple of thousand thb. Or is it just another unexpected cost I have to suck up for the privilege of being allowed into thailand...
aldriglikvid Posted February 10, 2021 Posted February 10, 2021 I booked via booking.com and showed the confirmations letters and that was enough. The bookings are, of course, canceled by now as I would like to fix my room when I'm on the ground. 2

You just need to book a room deal that has free cancellation, normally up until a couple of days, or so before your check in date.
Tanoshi Posted February 10, 2021 Posted February 10, 2021 Be aware that in quarantine you'll be asked to complete a form with proof of your accommodation after leaving. 1
